ABOUT
ARTIST BIO
DER TRÄUMER (the dreamer) is one of Switzerland’s boundary-defying sonic visionaries. A sound designer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist, he transcends conventional genre borders with fearless creativity, constantly reshaping sound into immersive, imaginative experiences. Refusing to be confined by musical styles DER TRÄUMER weaves cinematic atmospheres, dark ambient textures, industrial energy, and neo-classical elegance into poetic compositions.
His artistic language is born from decades of musical exploration and experience: from composing film scores to performing across Europe with bands, mastering instruments from violin to bass to waterphone. Inspired by comics, science fiction, and fantasy, he fuses narrative worlds with musical innovation, transforming abstract imagery into emotional sonic journeys.
On stage, DER TRÄUMER creates a one-of-a-kind performance that blends raw analogue intensity with futuristic sound design. Layering voice, violin, electric guitar, and mysterious instruments like the waterphone over pulsing grooves and ambient soundscapes, he conjures a dreamlike, otherworldly experience that defies categorization.
His debut album GHOSTS (September 2025) marks a milestone in artistic storytelling through sound. Available on CD, digital platforms, and as immersive Dolby Atmos 3D-audio mixes on Apple and Amazon Music, it blurs the line between music and spatial cinematic experience. An limited instrumental vinyl edition follows in autumn 2025. With the GHOSTS live programme now touring clubs and cinemas, DER TRÄUMER confirms his place at the forefront of sonic innovation and emotional immersion.
